Talking about the advantages and disadvantages of disc dryer

Disc Dryer, also known as multi-layer disc Dryer, is a multi-layer disc, harrow stirring, vertical continuous drying device, which belongs to the category of contact dryers with heat conduction as the mainstay. The disc dryer absorbs the advantages of heat conduction drying, and uses a floating plow-type harrow blade rotary stirring device in its structure. The temperature of the layer heating plate, as well as the final cooling and cooling measures, overcome the shortcomings of the fixed bed conduction drying.

The advantages and disadvantages of the disc dryer are as follows:

1. Mechanical conveying of materials, continuous production, controllable adjustment of processing capacity;

2. High drying efficiency, the average evaporation intensity is about 5-20Kg/h;

3. Vertical installation, perfect heat preservation, high utilization rate of heat source and waste heat, only 1.1-1.4Kg steam per kilogram of water to evaporate;

4. Small footprint, compact structure and simple equipment installation;

5. The exhaust emission is small, and the amount of dust flying is small;

6. The temperature of each layer of heating plate is controllable, and it is used for drying and cooling;

7. If combined with other equipment, the solvent can be recovered, and it can also be used in the preheating process of various materials such as roasting and sublimation.

Disadvantages of disc dryers are as follows:

1. The mechanical transmission mechanism is relatively complex, with many moving parts, and the processing requirements are relatively high;

2. The heating plate cavity is under a certain pressure, more materials are used, and equipment investment is large;

3. If the material is brittle and not suitable for materials with high particle size requirements;

4. It is not suitable for heat-sensitive materials that are easy to stick or scale;
